The game can be a little intimidating, especially if you don't know much about trains.I checked out that route and there is content from the download station required also. However, even with the easy mode, the general audience will still have a hard time playing. The game is also responsive with a great map creator. Its wide selection of objects lets you design and create every aspect of the game however you want. Trainz Simulator is a game for people who are interested in the ins and outs of the railroad system. Be warned, however, that the easy mode is still more advanced than any standard train simulator and be daunting to newcomers to the game. The game lets you choose either the easy or realistic driving mode. Once done, you can even start driving various trains of your choice. Trainz Simulator may be focused more on building your railway, but the game does not end with only creating your rail line. What's more, the level of detail in the game is good that you can get engrossed, even though you are not on to trains.
The game has a library of objects that you can use in your design. As noted, you can use railroad from the past as your inspiration or create a prototypical route. There is also an advanced route creation tool called Surveyor, which lets you customize your railroad.
